Class & Slots full view

This update introduces several UI and UX changes, and adds a new section for users to view their modules and slots in a list format. The remainder of the week will be spent improving this system, and the following week work will start on syncing of schedules across the entire account, as well as a better account management system.

• Modified the UI for Creating Classes and Slots
• Changed from toast message boxes to button loading states for some actions
• New class and slot view to see exactly which classes you match with others in a list format (Filtering & more coming soon)

Slots & Filtering Patches

This patch addressed some UX issues with the new Custom Slot feature, and added automatic filtering to the filter selectors

• Modified the UI for the Custom Slot selectors
• Defaulted Filtering of weeks and days to only show the current week/day and the next week/day

Custom Slots

This patch added the ability for users to add custom slots into their schedules, which are not on NUSMods.

• Allow users to create their own custom slots. Slots can be recurring, or occur on a specific date.
• Allow users to add custom slots When2Meet style, using a batch selector. This feature only works for recurring events, however additional support to enable it for specific dates in which a group of friend might want to meet on will be added soon.
• Filter now displays what options are being filtered, even when retracted
• Filter now actually saves the options (fr this time I swear)
• Fixed issue where some users could not immediately see the plans they added until the page was refreshed (fr this time)

Semi-official release

This patch released NUSModCollab to a bigger group, and fixed the bugs identified by this group.

• Fixed issue where modules hidden on NUSMods would be imported onto the website anyways. The default is now hidden, but this can be changed by the user.
• Added Guide section, showcasing how to use the website
• Allow users to customise their slot color.
• Added Feedback form

Minor fixes and added FAQ

Fixed a few changes identified in the previous feature implementation. Added an FAQ for SEO

Privacy Mode

Added Privacy Mode.

• Added ability for both users and plans to hide their true lessons.
• Users who previously were not on privacy mode and switch to privacy mode will have their lessons converted automatically
• Users in privacy mode will have their lessons hidden from the server too, meaning they will not be able to revert this change (To be changed).

Minor changes and Vertical mode

Added vertical mode, free slot mode, and fixed a few bugs.

• Added ability to show just the free slots of each user
• Added Privacy Policy (Pls don't sue baba)
• Drag to scroll feature on the plans
• Fixed issue where changing the filter options on one plan would affect another plan

Minor hotfix

Supposedly fixed issue where uploaded lessons did not immediately update (he lied)

SEO & Minor UI Changes

Minor SEO changes to help the website eventually appear on google search.

• Added metadata and description.
• Reorganised filter options to be retractable
• Made selected filter options save on the device even after you close the tab.

Account Syncing & Plan view

Gave users the ability to sync their account to their google account to allow plans to be easily accessed via the website across devices.

• Added a new plans page to allow users to view the plans they have joined
• Added a google login feature if users want to sync their accounts across devices.
• Made searching for classes if adding manually more convenient via a searchbox instead of a select box.

Minor hotfix

Minor patch which fixed several bugs identified by test group. Also introduced using QR Code to add friends

• Fixed bug which resulted in lessons with no clash with other users showing up
• Fixed UI bug which resulted in Footer overlapping with the Create screen
• Added QR Code to add friends to groups
• Added Vercel Analytics to monitor website usage

First working version of NUSModCollab

It took around 2 weeks to convert the codebase from the AI generated POC, as well as to add a few more features dedicated to filtering and searching for common slots faster. This update also improved the UX from the vibe-coded POC.

POC of NUSModCollab

NUSModCollab was ideated and vibe-coded for a POC on the same day. It was released to a small group of friends to test feasibility. After testing the usefulness of the idea, Zhongbob (the creator) decided to make it into his new project.
